Can you believe it’s almost Easter already? We know it can be difficult to keep the little ones entertained over the holidays, so we’ve made things easy for you. Here are 8 of the best child-friendly activities and events around Brisbane in April.

1. Flipside Circus Workshops

Jump, fly and flip your way through an unforgettable workshop at Flipside Circus! Located in Alderley, they have an incredible range of classes for all ages and experience levels. They also have birthday packages available if your child’s birthday is coming up.

2. Check out the newest flicks at the cinema

Going to the cinema will never go out of style. A live-action remake of the classic, “Dumbo” has just been released. Other popular upcoming films currently include The Lego Movie 2 and Avengers: Endgame.

3. StreetTread Dance Studio

This studio in Bulimba are holding acro and dance workshops on Tuesday 9th and 16th of April. These workshops are designed for beginners and advanced students alike. Your child will get one-on-one attention from the instructors and the chance to use some exciting new equipment.

4. Chermside Farmers Markets

Held every Sunday from 6:30am – 11:30am, the Chermside Farmers Markets boasts a range of fresh produce, arts and crafts. They are currently hosting a competition on Facebook with a $300 hamper up for grabs. The winner will be drawn on April 12 so get in quick.

5. Kids eat free at Mucho Mexicano, Hawthorne

What an insane deal! Every day from April 8th until April 22nd, kids 14 years and under eat free at Mucho Mexicano when accompanied by an adult. Come feast on enchiladas, tacos and nachos these school holidays.

6. Terrarium workshop at Hyde Away Cafe, Yeronga

Here at Scope Clinical and Educational Services, we love our plants and greenery. Hyde Away Cafe are holding a Terrarium Workshop on April 16th where your kids can create their own unique, miniature garden to take home. Please note that this is for children 7 years and over.

7. Easter Sunday celebrations at Bulimba Golf Club

April 21st is Easter Sunday and Bulimba Golf Club is pulling out all the stops. Starting at midday, there will be Easter egg hunts, jumping castles and raffles. And parents, there will also be Easter themed cocktails at the bar for you to enjoy.

8. Active Parks program

This initiative by the Brisbane City Council gives your children the exciting opportunity to venture into the world of space travel. On Friday April 12th at Bulimba Memorial Park, your kids will have the opportunity to launch their very own water rocket. Register with Eventbrite for more information.
