Intellectual Disability Assessment
Intellectual Disability assessment (now called intellectual developmental disorder) plays a fundamental process for individuals with an intellectual impairment in helping to identify strengths, areas of need and accessing NDIS support. An assessment provides a detailed report with evidence-based recommendations, which can be used to become an NDIS participant and access support. After assessment you can also access ongoing guidance from a psychologist in the form of therapy.
What symptoms warrant an Intellectual Disability assessment?
- Delayed early milestones (sitting up, crawling, walking or talking)
- Difficulty with speaking
- Memory issues / forgetfulness
- Difficulty understanding social rules and communication
- Trouble seeing the results of actions
- Difficulty problem solving and with academic performance (reading, writing, math etc.)

We have a four-stage process for psychological assessment:

How much does assessment cost?
(+$50.00 new client fee)
We have a flat rate of $220.00 per hour for all of our psychologists. This means that you can book in for an assessment with any of our available practitioners and expect the exact same quality service.
Can I do assessment online?
Yes! Scope Psychology Services Australia offers comprehensive psychoeducational assessment 100% online using the videoconferencing software, Zoom. It’s easy to use and 100% confidential.
